Using a Feedback Form for Greater Website Usability
Posted: May 24 in Usability tagged Usability best practices by InesVisitor feedback plays an important role in your website’s usability. While it can be argued that website design and usability have little to do with user feedback, without the opportunity to communicate with you, your visitors can’t tell you what works on your medical website and what doesn’t.
Forms and the Web User Experience
The web has become the number-one research tool for people all over the world. Whether they’re searching a website for medical information, looking to set an appointment, or just locating a doctor near them, odds are they’re going to the web to find this information.
When people want to contact a medical practice they found on the web to set an appointment, the first thing they’re going to look for is the phone number. However, if they have a question about an article they may have read or a procedure they’re considering, your office is probably not going to take that call. This is where a feedback form can be a useful. By providing visitors with a way to get in touch with you regarding their questions, you make the website much more user-friendly.
Problems with Your Website
In addition to enhancing medical website usability, a feedback form allows visitors to let you know if something is wrong with your site. Odds are a patient isn’t going to call your office if the link to a featured article is broken, but if they’re given the opportunity to inform you through a web form, they might just let you know through that channel.
If you’re using a form to gather feedback from your patients and visitors, it’s important that you take any criticism constructively and use it to deliver better site usability to your visitors.
